What’s it all about?

Most, if not all of you who will be listening or planning on listening would have at some stage popped online, booked a ticket, turned up at the airport, got on the plane and away you went - no questions asked (before Covid), and probably not much thought about how did it get to stage of you hurtling you down the runway in a metal tube at 200mph, sitting 80 tonnes of fuel?  Although it was easy to book the ticket in a few minutes, it’s not so easy to get you in the air! 

Commercial aviation is an intriguing and fascinating world and one which in the lead up to a flight, has the most diverse and different sectors of any industry on earth, that all come together to get you ‘Cleared for Take-off!’ We aim to tell you about all these varying factors, what’s involved and give a more in-depth behind the scenes look about what it really takes.  We will be speaking with lots of different people involved at all levels to really put in the picture about the world of flying.
